7 teens charged in drinking party

RICHMOND – Seven people were arrested at an underage drinking party over the weekend, authorities said.

About 11:50 p.m. Friday, McHenry County sheriff’s deputies deemed a vehicle in the 8400 block of Tryon Grove Road near Richmond to be suspicious, and two males inside said they were trying to meet up with others at an area home, reports said.

At the home, deputies found several people hiding.

The female host, a juvenile, said she was related to the property owner and had permission to be there, but deputies determined that neither she nor the others were supposed to be there, reports stated.

Joseph G. Dierkes, 18, of Hebron, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana.

Six others were charged
with underage drinking: Coty W. Lusk, 19, of Wonder Lake; Dennis P. Kucia, 19, and Michael B. Palmer, 18, both of Genoa City, Wis.; and three juveniles: girls from McHenry and Twin Lakes, Wis., and a boy from Hebron.

Parents were called and took custody of the juveniles.
