FOX RIVER GROVE – An Elk Grove Village man on parole for armed robbery faces burglary charges after being arrested near the scene of an attempted break-in Tuesday.

Fox River Grove police arrested Zachary C. White, 29, of 312 Spruce Lane, Elk Grove Village, on suspicion of residential burglary and attempted residential burglary, according to a news release from Chief Ron Lukasik.

Police were called to a home on Bradbury Court at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a man trying to get into a home through the garage. The suspect fled, but later was found in the area and arrested after a brief foot chase, police said.
