River Jams festival this weekend

The Cary-Grove Jaycees will host its annual River Jams Festival this weekend.

The 11-hour festival will feature local bands, including All Points Bulletin, Our Medium, John Monti and Dave Rose, and Bridge.

There will be beer and water for sale, and food vendors on site, including Jimano's Pizza and Dairy Queen.

Wristbands for alcoholic beverages will cost $1.

Organizers plan to have several child- and family-friendly activities during the day, including a bouncy house and football activities. Raffles also will take place.

Admission is free.

The festival will be from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday at Lion's Park in Fox River Grove.
