Biketoberfest planned in Carpentersville

CARPENTERSVILLE – The third annual Fox Valley Biketoberfest will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Main Street Bikes in Historic Old Town Carpentersville.

The show, hosted by Main Street Bicycles, is open to all makes and models of bicycles. The outdoor event is an antique, classic and custom bicycle show, swap meet and open house.

The rain date is Oct. 28.

The entry free for show bikes is $5. The entry fee for swap space is $20 and the cost to sell individual bikes is $5. Spectators may attend for free.

Registration and setup will run from 8 to 10 a.m. Awards will take place at 2 p.m. Then there will be a short photo shoot and fall ride on the paved Historic Fox Bike Trail into Dundee and back. The three-mile ride is optional.

Historic Old Town Carpenterville is right off the Fox River Bike trail, one-quarter mile east of Route 31. Main Street Bikes is at 39 E. Main St.
