Christmas thief

To the Editor:

Every Christmas, our Lakewood neighbor puts up a brilliant seasonal display of light and color, as 30,000 bulbs light up his house and every tree and bush. Ten large blow-ups of Santa and winter themes adorn his yard.

So many carloads of families drive by to admire this spectacular scene that my neighbor now puts out a box for food and monetary donations to be given to the food pantry. In the past, he has collected about 300 pounds of food and $300 in cash in one season.

On Nov. 30, someone stole several of these decorations. Really? A Christmas thief! We hope after reading this article, the Christmas thief will return the items, quietly in the dark of night, just as they were stolen. No questions asked.
