D-200 seeks nominations for excellence award

WOODSTOCK – District 200 is looking for nominations for its annual Award of Excellence.

For the third year since the award was introduced, the district will honor an individual for his or her long-term commitment and contributions to District 200 education.

District 200 residents, current or former district employees, and graduates of district schools qualify for the award.

Nomination forms are due by Jan. 4, and can be found under the “Community” tab of the “Education Foundation” page at www.woodstockschools.org. Individuals who wish to nominate someone also are asked to submit a personal nomination letter as well as letters of recommendation.

The winning person will have made contributions – short or long term – that have “resulted in significant improvement in education in District 200,” the district said in a release.

District officials will present the award to the honoree at the Education Foundation’s Groundhog Day Dinner and Auction on Feb. 2 at Village Hall Banquets in Union.
