FOX RIVER GROVE – There will be two new trustees in May on the Village Board, according to unofficial vote totals from Lake and McHenry counties.

Current Trustee Suzanne Blohm finished second and will keep her seat, as she garnered 401 votes. Tom Anderson was the lead vote-getter with 545 votes. Andrew Migdal had the third-highest total with 360 votes in the race for three trustee seats.

The other incumbent in the race, Michael Ireland, finished fifth with 278 votes. Chester Olencheck with 283 votes and Robert Kandler with 189 votes rounded out the field.

Blohm currently serves as the chairwoman of the district’s Finance Committee. Blohm said during the campaign that the village needs to focus efforts on maintaining businesses and attracting new ones.

Migdal’s priorities included improving the parking in the downtown business district, helping attract retail business into town, and improving parks.
