State Sen. Dan Duffy to present fraud prevention program

SPRINGFIELD – State Sen. Dan Duffy, R-Lake Barrington, will host a free fraud prevention program with representatives from the Illinois attorney general’s office on Tuesday in Cary. 

The event will be at 10 a.m. at the Cary Area Public Library, 1606 Three Oaks Road.

Duffy and representatives from the Attorney General’s Office will present information about how to protect personal information from identity theft, and what to do if you become a victim. Information about common fraud tactics, such as Internet lotteries and mail fraud scams that are often used to target senior citizens, will be provided. 

Refreshments and informational brochures will be available.
