Police: Several mailboxes damaged in Marengo

MARENGO – Several property damage complaints were filed in Marengo on Wednesday, according to the Marengo Police Department.

Officers received several reports on Wednesday morning that at around 3 a.m. mailboxes, a car window and a flag were damaged, according to a news release. The affected area was primarily at Dietz Street and Barbara Court.

Investigators have some “ear witnesses” who heard the damage occur, but failed to call the police when it was happening, the news release states.
