Home State Bank salutes ‘Everyday Heroes’

Home State Bank will recognize McHenry County’s “Everyday Heroes” along with local firefighters, police and members of the armed forces as it participates in the Crystal Lake Independence Day Parade at 1 p.m. Sunday and the McHenry Fiesta Days Parade at 1:30 p.m. July 21.

The Crystal Lake parade follows its historical 1.8 mile route beginning at City Hall, proceeding down Dole Avenue and ending at the Lakeside Festival grounds. Richard Harms is the grand marshal for the Independence Day Parade. 

The McHenry parade route is Main Street to Green Street to Pearl Street to Riverside Drive to Washington Street. Parade marshal is Pete Merkel.

Home State bank will be handing out patriotic lollipops with surprise coupons to parade spectators redeemable for $5 Starbucks gift cards, $10 Barnes and Noble gift cards, and $10 iTunes gift cards.

Two lollipops in each parade will contain a grand prize coupon redeemable for a $50 Target Card Gift Card. The lucky grand prize winners will also be able to choose a local charity that Home State Bank will make an additional $50 donation to in their name.

Home State Bank’s parade float will feature a themed Home State Bank Salutes Our “Everyday Heroes” banner with the names of local McHenry Country residents who make our communities a great place to live. They were nominated by community residents.
