Home explodes in Joliet; 1 injured
JOLIET (AP) — Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a home explosion in Joliet.
The (Joliet) Herald-News says the two-story property was destroyed in a powerful blast late Sunday.
East Joliet Fire Chief Robert Scholtes told WMAQ that the fire was started by a gas explosion. He says crews were securing a natural gas line at the property.
One man was injured and is being treated for burns.
The state fire marshal's office is investigating.
