Where are local jobs?

To the Editor:

In 2010, I got laid off from my job. I signed up for unemployment. I had my taxes taken out, plus I registered with five temporary employment agencies. Eventually, I was denied my benefits because I was not making enough being unemployed. (Figure that.) After a little more than two years, I found a job on my own. Note: Found a job on my own. I quit that job because of health reasons.

In my last job, I was driving to Antioch to work six hours, but after a while my hours got cut to three and my days got cut to three.

Again, I am registered with four temp agencies. Where are the McHenry County jobs? Who wants to drive out of McHenry County for $9 an hour? At two agencies, I was told my work history is good and my qualifications should put me into a job soon. Here I am waiting two-and-a-half months later. People say have patience, but that goes only so far.
