LAKE IN THE HILLS - One woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday after her SUV rear ended another vehicle in Lake in the Hills.

The SUV was traveling northbound on Randall Road when it struck the vehicle near Polaris Drive. The woman appeared to be experiencing chest pains caused by the airbag deployment, according to dispatch reports. Algonquin-Lake in the Hills fire officials were uncertain of the nature of her injuries.

Traffic was slowed on Randall Road while the accident was cleaned up but resumed to normal speeds by 12:45 p.m.

Lake in the Hills Police and Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Department responded to the scene.
