Celebrating 100 years

Published: Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

To the Editor:

Save the date. This year, the Cary Fire Protection District is celebrating 100 years of service to our communities. As part of our centennial celebration, CFPD will host a ballroom dance (semi-formal) from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Holiday Inn Crystal Lake. Music for the dance will be performed by a live orchestra with vocals. Hors d’oeuvres will be available as well as a cash bar. Secure those baby sitters while they last. Make this a date night as you celebrate with us and join the dedicated men and women of the CFPD as we celebrate serving you for the past 100 years.

Tickets are only $20 each. They can be purchased at CFPD Station No. 1, 400 Cary-Algonquin Road, Cary, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily, or from any CFPD firefighter. For more information, call CFPD at 847-639-2121. I’m looking forward to seeing you there.
