McHENRY – McHenry’s Goodwill store, 2006 N. Richmond Road, is hosting a free children’s Halloween costume party from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 19.

The event will include a costume contest, games, prizes, treats, balloon artist, scarecrow building and a child-friendly haunted house. The costume parade will be at 1 p.m.

“Each year our Halloween party gets more and more popular with the children,” Goodwill’s McHenry store manager Ed Antczak said in a news release. “We love interacting with the public and it’s great to see all of the kids in the store having a fun time.”

The McHenry Goodwill store also will be collecting non-perishable food items and monetary donations that day to be donated to the FISH of McHenry Food Pantry during the holiday season.

To register, call the store at 815-385-3160. Children also can register at the store.

For information about the Halloween party or food drive, call Antczak at 815-385-3160.
