WOODSTOCK – Police are looking for participants for the Woodstock Police Explorers program.

An orientation will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 21, at the Woodstock Police Department, 656 Lake Ave. No new participants will be allowed to enter the program after Dec. 15.

The program caters to young adults ages 14 through 21 who have an interest in law enforcement.

Explorers help officers with traffic and crowd control at certain events, and can go on ride-alongs once they pass a proficiency exam. During ride-alongs, explorers assist officers during nonhazardous calls.

For information or to sign up, contact Sgt. Constantino Cipolla at 815-338-2131, ext. 231, or ccipolla@woodstockil.gov.
