Local surgeon elected into American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons association

CRYSTAL LAKE – Rolando Izquierdo Jr., of Crystal Lake Orthopedics, was elected as an associate member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) during its October meeting in Las Vegas.

This association of leading shoulder and elbow surgeons is devoted to the continuing education of physicians and fostering and advancing the science and practice of shoulder and elbow care.

After his residency, Izquierdo fellowship-trained in shoulder and elbow reconstruction and sports medicine at Columbia University – Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York.

He holds additional subspecialty certification in orthopaedic sports medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holds staff affiliations with Centegra Hospital – Woodstock, Centegra Hospital – McHenry, Algonquin Road Surgery Center in Lake of the Hills and OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
