WOODSTOCK – Woodstock police will target speeders during their December traffic initiative.

The Woodstock Police Department hopes to lessen the number of speed-related crashes through the initiative while encouraging motorists to obey posted speed limits, according to a release from the department.

Tuesday also marks the beginning of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, which will include local efforts. Woodstock police are planning special DUI patrols throughout the month.
