To the Editor:

We here at The Salvation Army would like to say a big thank you to all of our donors this past Christmas.

We were able to raise over our goal of $150,000 in our red buckets at various locations around McHenry County. We would like to thank all the bell-ringing volunteers, Angel Tree volunteers, Toy Shop volunteers and any others who volunteered in any way.

We received four silver coins and one quarter-ounce gold coin.

We still are short in the mail appeal and can receive money in the mail at 290 W. Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014, or come by the office at the same location.

We will be collecting money until Jan. 20, so call our office 815-455-2769 if you still have questions.

Maj. Garry W. Lowder

Corps officer, McHenry County Salvation Army
