To the Editor:
The president threatened Congress and the American people that he will take unilateral action and by royal decree make law. He has his pen, and he has his phone.
A president who has assumed control of the three branches of government is not fazed by the Constitution, the rule of law, the Supreme Court, Congress or the will of the American people.
Apparently not content with golfing, lavish vacations, world tours, hobnobbing with celebrities and appearing on late night talk shows, he decided to try his hand at kingly rule. A man who claims to be a Constitutional scholar has not read the good book.
But he is not solely to fault. Voters elected the most unqualified and inexperienced person ever to be president.
Not satisfied with a first term devoid of accomplishments, voters deemed him worthy of a second term. A doting media excused every debacle.
His lies became the truth. His failures were blamed on someone else.
Democrats were happy to please their master. Frightened Republicans caved to his every demand. The Supreme Court wrote President Obama a blank check. Low information voters went blissfully on their way as our nation spiraled out of control.
But people have a way of dealing with tyrants. It may not happen today, next week or next year, but happen it will. Then he will he see if indeed his pen is mightier than the sword.
