Finland's Filppula injured, out of Olympics

SOCHI, Russia (AP) — Valtteri Filppula of Finland will miss the Olympics after the Tampa Bay Lightning center was hurt in a game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Lightning announced Friday that Filppula has a non-displaced right ankle fracture and will be out for three weeks.

Filppula, who had been selected to play for Finland at the Sochi Games, was injured in the third period of Thursday night's game in Tampa.

He has 20 goals this season.
