Veteran Beer Co. partners with Crystal Lake distributor
CRYSTAL LAKE – Veteran Beer Co. said Crystal Lake-based L&V Distributors Inc. has begun distributing its beer in McHenry County.
The partnership means local consumers will be able to buy Veteran Beer’s first two products, the Veteran, an amber lager, and Blonde Bomber, a blonde ale, according to a news release.
The company is veteran-owned, and each of its employees served in the military.
“We feel like engaging L&V for McHenry County puts an essential piece of the puzzle in place for us in our home market,” Veteran Beer Regional Director Marc Blue said in a news release. “I live in this area in Wonder Lake, so I know all about our vibrant local social scene. Partnering with a respected distributor like L&V gives us immediate credibility with both retailers and consumers.”
L&V serves customers such as liquor stores, grocery stores, restaurants, hotels, taverns and other retail outlets.
“It’s an honor for us to add the Veteran Beer Co. to our already impeccable portfolio of brands,” L&V Distributors President Donald Lewis said in a news release. “The beer they’ve created is outstanding, and we fully embrace their mission of ending Veteran unemployment in one generation. This really is a perfect fit for our company.”
The Veteran and Blonde Bomber are produced at the company’s brewery in Cold Spring, Minn. Both are available in retail stores throughout Illinois and Indiana.
“As a local company, employing local Veterans, we are making a direct and immediate impact on local economies,” Blue said. “Consumers have a lot of choices when buying beer, and we want to provide them with a choice that makes a difference in their community. The big, foreign-owned beer companies talk a good game in their commercials; while they’re talking, we’re doing.”
Veteran Beer Co. has committed 10 percent of its profits to charities that support the Veteran community. For information, visit www.veteranbeercompany.com.
