Money from the event will go toward costumes, equipment, such as the cost of flags, rifles and sabres, and competition entrance fees, according to a news release.

Tickets for the event cost is $7.50 for people older than 10 years old. Youngsters 4 to 10 years old cost $5. Children 3 and younger are free.

There also will be a bake sale and raffle tickets for door prizes at the event, as well as a silent auction.

The spaghetti dinner and bake sale is set for 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, at the VFW Post 2298, 117 S. First St. in West Dundee.
