UNION – Proceeds from the Union Lions Club annual pancake breakfast on Sunday will support a local liver transplant recipient and the Children's Organ Transplant Association.

Ticket sales from the event will primarily help 13-year-old Ethan Grismer, who received a liver transplant. The public is invited to attend the breakfast at 7 a.m. Sunday inside Donley's banquet hall, 8512 S. Union Road, Union.

Attendees at the Festival of Sugar Maples in nearby Marengo also can use a free shuttle service on Sunday to attend the club's annual breakfast. Tickets for the pancake breakfast are $6 for adults and $3 for kids. Children under age 3 are admitted free.
