CRYSTAL LAKE – The Crystal Lake Public Library is promoting its business services this month, looking to take advantage of a grant it received to loan equipment and provide materials to start-ups and small businesses.

The library is highlighting its business library card and business equipment loan programs to encourage entrepreneurs to maximize resources available to them.

A business library card allows any business or nonprofit within Crystal Lake to access all the materials at the library as well as the online subscriptions to business and industry resources. Cardholders also have access to conference rooms.

Business library card holders also have quicker access to the equipment available for checkout through the library’s loan program. Available equipment includes a laptop with Microsoft Office Suite, a digital projector and projection screen, a camcorder, headsets tablets and more.

Library Spokeswoman Linda Price said the business services have been well received and would continued to be offered and expanded moving forward.

“We’re very committed to the business community and want to make that available to them,” Price said of the resources. “Lifelong learning includes all aspects of the community.”
