Helping Paws plans fundraising events

WOODSTOCK – Helping Paws Animal Shelter is hosting or participating in several fundraisers in support of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals month.

• Colonial Café FUNraising Night: 15 percent of a patron's bill at Colonial Café, 5689 Route 14 in Crystal Lake between 4 and 10 p.m. April 23 will benefit the care of dogs and cats and Helping Pets. The coupon is available for printing at www.helpingpaws.net

• Chip'n'Dip Paw-ty: From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26, Camp Bow Wow, at 3107 W. Route 120 in McHenry will host a low-cost microchip clinic. Microchips will be available for $15.

• McHenry County Human Race 5K Walk/Run: Helping Paws has a team of walkers that will meet at 9 a.m. April 27, at Follett Software Company, 1391 Corporate Drive, McHenry for the county-wide walk and run. Those participating in the race, can choose Helping Paws as the organization to receive the proceeds of their race fee. Information is available at www.mchumanrace.org
