Obama’s legacy

Published: Sunday, April 20, 2014 5:30 a.m. CDT

To the Editor:

It’s very difficult to trust President Barack Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder and former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton.

Hiding the truth, not telling the whole truth, or presenting false information doesn’t earn them our trust. They talk a good game, but continuously mislead us.

Blaming others, pleading ignorance, taking the fifth, hiding behind executive privilege,  playing the race card or being a convenient victim buys them some diversionary time. But truth has a way of catching up with all of us, eventually.

Obama’s fantasy ride is about to come to an unhappy ending with the Democratic Party running for cover. There have been just too many occasions that indicate this president has not been honest with us.  And he’s a fool to think that we don’t know it.

Americans are not dumb. Some are willing to be bribed for their vote. Most are not. The majority wants to work and be able to pay their own way. We are a compassionate and God-fearing nation that believes in our constitution.

All of us certainly want to know that our government is protecting us from our enemies. Obama is not helping us. He’s hurting us. His economic plan is not working. His national security plan is not working. Obamacare is not working.

His administration needs to be replaced. His good ideas, and Obama has had some, will be forgotten because he chooses not to be forthright with us regarding the details of his decisions or his involvements. Unfortunately, this will be his legacy.
