PADS, Pioneer Center to benefit from golf fundraiser

CRYSTAL LAKE – A golf outing will raise money for McHenry County PADS and the Pioneer Center.

Check-in for the event, STAR’s second annual Tee Up 4 Charity Golf Outing, will start at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. June 27 at the Prairie Isle Golf Club, 2216 Route 176, Crystal Lake.

STAR, which stands for Sharing Time and Resources, is a Wauconda-based nonprofit. The event is open to the public and will be accompanied by a silent auction.

The cost is $100 a golfer or $400 for a group of four, and includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, box lunch, group photo, dinner and a gift bag. Nongolfers can attend the dinner for $25 a person.

Organizers are looking for sponsors and donations for the silent auction and gift bags.
