ELGIN – Elgin Community College Musical Theatre announces auditions for the summer production of “Forever Plaid.”
Directing and choreographing the musical is Konnie Kay. ECC professor John G. Slawson is the artistic and musical director.
Set in the 1950s, the musical revue is about four male singers killed in a car crash on the way to their first big concert. Miraculously, the “Plaids” are revived and given a chance to fulfill their dream. “Forever Plaid” was written, originally directed and choreographed by Stuart Ross with musical continuity supervision and arrangements by James Raitt. It was originally produced by Gene Wolsk.
