RINGWOOD – An afternoon of games, activities and a nature lesson will focus on frogs this month.

The McHenry County Conservation District's Lost Valley Ventures will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. every Saturday in May at Lost Valley Visitor Center in Glacial Park, Route 31 and Harts Road, Ringwood.

If the weather allows, participants also will go for a short outdoor exploratory hike with staff.

Registration is not required, and all ages are welcome.

The topics for this program change monthly. Next month will be salamanders followed by butterflies in July and pioneer play in August.

This program is intended for families and cannot accommodate organized groups.  Youth groups should contact Prairieview Education Center at 815-479-5779 to schedule a program for their group.
