CARY – The Cary Park District has scheduled a free prairie walk for residents, a news release said.
A local biologist and naturalist will lead the walk and educate participants on spring prairie plants, wildflowers, birds, insects and how Native Americans used the prairie, according to the news release.
The walk is scheduled for 1 p.m. May 18 and begins at the Sands Main Street Prairie on East Main Street, east of Decker Drive.
According to the news release, the walk will last about an hour.
