Good Shepherd schedules diabetes, heart disease screenings

BARRINGTON – Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital has scheduled diabetes and heart screenings.

The screenings include a finger stick blood glucose level check, which requires a 12-hour fast, hemoglobin checks and a cholesterol checks, according to a news release from the hospital.

Consultations with doctors will be provided based on a person's results, the news release said.

The cost for a screening is $10, according to a news release.

The screenings are scheduled for 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Prairie Room at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital at 450 Route 22.
