Direct Steel earns national award

CRYSTAL LAKE – A structure built by Direct Steel and Construction of Crystal Lake has been honored by Varco Pruden Buildings.

Direct Steel and Construction, 3321 S. Route 31, has been named to Varco Pruden’s 2014 Hall of Fame for the Lord of Glory Church in Grayslake, according to a news release.

The Hall of Fame Awards are presented annually to the independent authorized Varco Pruden builders. Varco Pruden, a division of BlueScope Buildings North America Inc., has a network of more than 1,000 builders in the United States and Canada,

The Lord of Glory Church project included a sanctuary and main lobby area addition for church worship and fellowship. The addition was about 7,600 square feet at the church, 9735 Lincoln-Way Lane, Grayslake.
