ALGONQUIN – Nero's Pizza & Pub is scheduled in June to host a four-day video golf tournament to benefit three charities.

Participants in the Players Charity Championship IV will be playing Golden Tee, a coin-operated video golf game.

More than 125 people from across the country are expected to participate in the tournament and raise more than $100,000, according to a news release.

The event will include celebrity appearances, live and silent auctions, and an actual golf tournament, among other things, according to the news release.

Money raised at the event will benefit the Nikolas Ritschel Foundation in Rockford, which supports adolescent adults diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare form of cancer;  Salute, Inc. in Palatine, which helps meet the financial, physical and emotional needs of military service members, veterans and their families; and  Starlight Children’s Foundation in Chicago, which helps with children's healthcare needs in hospitals, the news release said.

The tournament is scheduled from June 5-8 at Nero's Pizza and Pub at 300 Eastgate Court in Algonquin.
