Gas prices rise, still cheaper than last year

Gas prices have risen steadily in recent months, but they still haven't reached the same point they did last year at this time. According to GasBuddy.com, the average price of gas on in Illinois on Monday was about eight percent lower than it was a year ago.

The average price of regular gas made a steep jump after Memorial Day. On May 28, the average price was under $3.84 a gallon. Two days later, the price had gone up to about $3.92 a gallon.

Below is an updated list of the 10 lowest gas prices in the area, according to GasBuddy.com.
