Woman injured after falling from second-story window in Cary

CARY — An 88-year-old woman suffered injuries after falling from a second story window Wednesday morning in Cary, according to police.

Cary Deputy Chief Mike Roth said responders found a woman lying in the driveway with severe injuries a little before 7 a.m. at 7 Avalon Court in Cary. It's unknown how long the woman had been there, according to a news release from the Cary Police Department.

The woman was transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, in Barrington, and later moved to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, in Park Ridge, for her injuries, the release said.

The reason for the fall is undetermined at this time, but no foul play is suspected, according to the news release.

The incident is currently under investigation.
