CRYSTAL LAKE – The Environmental Defenders of McHenry County will be taking donations this weekend and early next week for its summer garage sale.

Donations will be accepted at the Algonquin Township Road District garage, 3702 Route 14, between Crystal Lake and Cary. Drop-offs are welcome on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Donors should drive back to the beige garage on the right.

Just about anything re-sellable will be accepted, according to a news release from the Defenders. There are some exceptions: small appliances and electronics that don't work, monitors and TVs, clothes, baby carriers or cribs, large appliances and upholstered furniture.

Email mcdef@owc.net or call 815-338-0393 with questions about whether an item will be accepted.

The garage sale is set for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, July 17 through 19.
