The dealership sponsored the dog park to help offset costs to maintain the park and provide the opportunity for capital improvements. It also significantly lowered membership costs for visitors.

McHENRY – McHenry’s McBark Dog Park, which is sponsored by Gary Lang Subaru, will host another free admission day from 10 a.m. to noon July 26.

Dog owners must bring proof of their pet’s rabies and distemper shots for free admittance to the park, according to a news release from the McHenry dealership.

Gary Lang Subaru will be handing out free dog-related items, including free Subaru dog tags with custom engraving. Radio station Star 105.5 will be broadcasting from the event.

The dog park was developed with the cooperation and partnerships of the Illinois Department of Transportation and Kohl’s.

Gary Lang Subaru is the presenting sponsor, which will help offset costs to maintain the park and provide the opportunity for capital improvements.

The park fees were $75 a year for residents and $125 a year for nonresidents. Because of the Gary Lang Subaru sponsorship, fees will be lowered to $15 a year for residents and $25 a year for nonresidents as of Sept. 1. Pro-rated fees are available until Sept. 1.
