McHenry Fiesta Days enters final days

McHENRY – The final weekend of McHenry's Fiesta Days will be packed with ice cream socials, live music and sidewalk sales.

A full schedule of events is available at the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce for the final three days of festivities.

Friday will begin with 12 hours worth of inside sidewalk sales beginning at 9 a.m. The day will continue with an ice cream social at Veteran’s Memorial Park and live entertainment, including musicians as young as three years old showcasing the talents of The Martin Lopez Academy, the Mar Ray Dance Studio, an exotic animal show, Brent Allan Entertainment and The Crystal Lake Strikers.

There will also be obstacle course, face painting, McHenry Township Fire Protection District's Fire

Safety House, finger printing by McHenry Police Department and inflatables.

A $5 hand stamp covers all inflatables, games, face painting and a small ice cream cone. There is no charge for stage entertainment.

Sales will continue on Saturday where live music will take over the downtown. Featured acts include the John Todd Band, Lindsey Powell and Tommy Kelly, Kacie DeWitt, and Restless Knites.

The parade will step off at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. There will be concessions and entertainment before and after the parade at Veterans Memorial Park.
