Put children first

To the Editor:

I’m thinking Oakwood Hills village officials have disappeared from the center of the crisis they created, but maybe they are reading the newspaper, so here it goes.

I was a part of your school community from 1970 to 2003. I moved to Lake Killarney in 1976 and to Wyndwood in 1986, where I still live today. I’ve seen a lot of stressful times at Prairie Grove School, but I cannot remember the children of Prairie Grove School ever being exposed to so many potential threats that might compromise their safety, health and well being – issues of air, water, noise, visual pollution, gas pipeline transit and water reclamation.

My bottom line: At Prairie Grove School, there was always an effort to put your children first. It is your turn to do the same.
