HUNTLEY – Sport Clips Haircuts, a national franchise dedicated to men’s and boys’ hair care, opened a new location Friday in Huntley.

The Texas-based chain has more than 1,200 locations across the country.

“Sport Clips offers our clients the expertise of well-trained stylists in a fun, casual environment where they can enjoy watching sports on TV during their haircut,” Larry Schmacher, who owns the new location, said in a news release. “We’re looking forward to introducing clients to our services and distinctive experience.”

The Huntley location, at 12290 Princeton Drive next to Brunch Café, gives free MVP upgrades – including a massaging shampoo, hot steamed towel treatment and neck and shoulder massage – to all first-time clients who buy a haircut service. It is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.
