Golf Roundup: Johnsburg girls open with victory

The Johnsburg girls golf team opened the season with a victory on Monday at Timber Pointe in Poplar Grove, beating Rockford Lutheran 206-211.

Emma Johnson led the way with a 46 while Natalie Flynn shot 51, Madelyn Schroeder shot 52 and Lauren Winters had 57 for the Skyhawks (1-0, 1-0 BNC East).

Jake Doherty shot a 4-over 40 for the Skyhawks (0-1, 0-1 BNC East), while Grant Fisher finished with a 42.
